The hilly areas of Asaka district in Andijan region are known for their clean air and distinctive natural landscape.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited an ecotourism complex established on the 192-hectare Yangi Hayot site.
The project was implemented on the instructions of the Head of State and at the initiative of the Agency for Agro-Industrial Complex Development. Combining natural surroundings with modern amenities, the complex has quickly gained popularity among residents and tourists.
Located on a hill, the complex offers panoramic views of the surrounding area.
Four modern capsule-style holiday cabins and five traditional yurts have been installed here. Decorative and coniferous trees have been planted across 30 hectares. The complex also features a family restaurant, various attractions and a modern outdoor lighting system.
Particular attention is given to preserving the natural environment and ensuring the efficient use of resources. A membrane-lined reservoir with a capacity of 14,000 cubic meters has been built at the complex. Trees and plants are irrigated entirely through a drip irrigation system.
The project has a total value of 51.8 billion soums and has created 275 permanent and 200 seasonal jobs. Grapes grown at the complex are also planned to be exported.
Once fully operational, the complex is expected to provide services worth 80 billion soums annually and generate 3 billion soums in revenue for the local budget.
The Vineyard Garden complex, which is expected to become fully operational by the end of this year, is set to become one of Andijan region’s attractive tourist destinations.
Over a cup of tea, the Head of State had a warm conversation with Andijan representatives and labor veterans. They discussed the large-scale transformations taking place in Andijan, new opportunities to improve people’s well-being, mahalla development and measures to unlock the potential of young people.
The event also featured a cultural program and a drone show.
