President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the gastronomic tourism street established in Urikzor mahalla in Andijan.
The project, covering Mashrab and Sarikuy streets, has a total value of 18 billion soums. Of this amount, 8 billion soums was allocated from the republican budget and 10 billion soums was provided by entrepreneurs.
The street stretches for 1.2 kilometers. Spacious and safe pedestrian and bicycle paths have been created, modern landscaping has been carried out, and fountains and various lighting elements have been installed. The street also features selfie zones, outdoor sports grounds, eco-friendly children’s playgrounds and family recreation areas.
The street has 35 commercial facilities, with 30 businesses providing services around the clock. The project has created 100 new jobs. The street is designed to accommodate more than 10,000 residents and tourists daily.
The Head of State walked along the street and spoke warmly with residents and entrepreneurs.
