As part of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Chief Executive Officer of Air Products Eduardo Menezes.
The parties discussed issues related to the further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation with the American company, which is actively investing in the establishment of high-tech industrial enterprises in Uzbekistan.
Air Products is one of the world’s leading producers and suppliers of industrial gases, with a market capitalization exceeding $60 billion. The company produces around 200 million tons of industrial gases annually in more than 50 countries and operates a network of approximately 750 production facilities.
To date, the company’s total investment in Uzbekistan has exceeded $1 billion. Projects have been implemented for the processing of industrial gases at the Uzbekistan GTL plant, hydrogen production at the Fergana Oil Refinery, and liquid carbon dioxide production at Navoiazot, as well as educational programs in Tashkent and Karshi.
The parties agreed to accelerate the implementation of new projects with the company’s participation under a joint roadmap.
