
On the eve of the Fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a delegation of leading U.S. companies.
The meeting was attended by John Jovanovic, President and Chairman of the US EXIM Bank, Ben Black, Chief Executive Officer of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Carolyn Lamm, Chair of the American-Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce, as well as executives from major corporations, including Air Products, Cove Capital, Templeton Global Investments, Boeing, 77 Construction, BlackRock, FLS, Visa, JPMorgan, Meta, GULF, and others.
The President expressed satisfaction that the current meeting continued a good tradition and demonstrated the growing interest of American businesses in expanding their presence in Uzbekistan.
It was emphasized that the economic agenda remains one of the key pillars of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States.
In this context, the Leader of Uzbekistan outlined several key areas for further deepening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Particular attention was given to advancing specific projects in the development and processing of critical minerals, as well as in the fields of energy, metallurgy, finance, artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and other sectors.
The executives of leading American companies thanked the President of Uzbekistan for creating favorable conditions for investors and presented their proposals and plans.
Following the roundtable discussion, a ceremony was held for the exchange of bilateral documents with leading U.S. companies.
